Picked up a turkey chopped hero with Ranch Doritos for about $13.50 — absolutely worth it. The sandwich was huge, even with just one layer of honey turkey and a small bag of chips. Fast service, great portion size, and everything tasted fresh. Honestly, if you’re not a big eater, I’d recommend getting it on a roll instead — it’s a lot of food for a hero. Definitely a solid spot I’d recommend!
The best deli in the city. I kept seeing videos on social media, so I went myself and it checked out. 10/10! Great customer service and they’re helpful if it’s your first time going in there. The sandwiches are pretty good as well. I will go back.
Delicious chopped sandwiches ( full disclosure I've only had tuna sandwiches from them). Tell them what you want in your sandwich and then decide if you want everything inside chopped I recommend. The line can get long but its worth the wait.
Eating from this deli is so nostalgic for me. This is a place my mom took us to get school trip sandwiches back in the day when it was still Lauro's. The long wrap around the store lines make finally biting into that soft bread which is super stuffed with your choice. I even took it a step further, buying a pickle having it sliced with oil and vinegar and black pepper added. What a treat.
The first time I went here, I got one of their famous chopped sandwiches. It had red pastrami, swiss cheese, mayo, lettuce, tomato, onion, salt, pepper, oil, vinegar and jalapenos all chopped up and served in a roll. The sandwich was massive, but none of the ingredients stood out. The taste was all blended into a mellow nothingness. I couldn't distinguish the swiss cheese, pastrami, jalapenos, or anything really. So just out of curiousity, I went back another day and got the exact same sandwich, but this time not chopped. It was great and tasted amazing! I guess you have to know what you're doing when you choose what to get chopped up. In my mind, the only thing meant to be chopped up like that with whatever ingredients you want is maybe a tuna sandwich, so I'll try that next time I order a chopped sandwich.
We were looking for a deli that was doing their thing. I saw some vlogs about this place and since we were in Brooklyn we gave it a try. They did not disappoint. We all had variations of the chopped sandwich which you can get on a roll or a hero. You can put anything you want on the sandwich including potato chips off the shelf of your choice. They have every kind of deli meat made by Boar's Head and a large selection of cheese. After you have selected everything you want on the the sandwich the sandwich artist chops it, mixes it, and then forms it into the shape of the bread you choose. This place was amazing and so was the guy behind the counter. This place is super affordable. I definitely recommend Farmer in the Deli.
